My birthday is a gift from you,
So Lord, guide me the whole year through.
This year Lord, may I sin less
And each time I err, at once confess.
May I follow the Bible as best I can;
May I learn to live by your good plan;
For Lord, I want to always be
A good steward of the time you give to me.
In the name of Christ Jesus, I pray. Amen
You are the Lord forever,
From beginning to end of time,
The alpha and omega,
Forever just and kind.
You are the Lord forever,
An ageless, endless power,
You’re with us every hour.
You are the Lord forever;
You give us all life brings,
And Lord we bow before you
And thank you for all things.
We offer this thanks in the name of Christ Jesus.

On October 26, 2012, I suffered a cerebral hemorrhage from a burst aneurysm. This is my first effort to express my thankfulness to God before my fellow men for sparing my life.
Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen
“Father, please bring families together. Sometimes it seems that there’s a spiritual attack on the bond between husbands and wives, and the family unit in general. — Please cancel every assignment of the enemy, and allow love to prevail.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen”

Someone in our family is waiting to be able to see his child. A hearing has been held but the judge has not yet ruled. This is our prayer.
We have counted every day since disaster came our way;
Can someone see what’s true and end travesty today…
For we have waited patiently trusting in an equal law,
While hanging ‘round the telephone waiting for a call.
Injustice rules today, but we pray the tide will turn
And allow us once again to see the child for whom we yearn.
God be with us as we wait and help us remain patient. Give us the grace to accept the answer, whatever it may be.
Frustration to the point of agony;
Mind yearning to be free—
That’s what constant problems
Have come to mean to me.
The peace of satisfaction
Must be prayed for day by day,
So all of this frustration
Can be safely held at bay.
Life’s not an easy journey;
The effort causes pain.
That’s why each day you’ll find me
Praying for sweet peace again;
And though life’s journey starts anew
Each day when I awake,
My prayer life can assure me
It won’t be more than I can take.
Lord, when I speak in your good name,
Keep me free of any blame.
Let my teaching be just and true,
The exact message meant by you;
And let me live in a Christian way
So people believe the words I say;
And most important, through my vocation,
Help some struggler find salvation.
In the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen

Jesus sat upon the mount
And healed whoever came—
The blind the deaf, the ill,
And people weak and lame.
So I have heart to turn to Him
To ask Him to heal me,
For He who healed the crippled
And made the blind to see
Will also reach out His own hand
To make my sorrows fade;
I need only bow my head in prayer
And He’ll come to my aid.
Lord, it’s easy to be bitter
And to think your pay’s too low
Or you’re never given credit
For the many things you know;
But Lord, I know that’s out of line;
It’s an attitude that’s wrong—
We should be very thankful
And not griping all day long.
We take our jobs for granted
And forget that we’re a team—
That being worthy of our hire
Is the way to earn esteem.
So please Dear Lord, remind me
To be worthy of my pay
And by my actions demonstrate
That I walk the Christian way.
I pray this in the name of Christ. Amen

Dear Lord, I have a prayer to offer
For the future, which I fear;
Please visit me with calm assurance
Your love is ever near.
When evil seems to triumph
And good seems not to sway
I rest my faith in you, Oh Lord
To sweep what’s bad away.
No man can ever change a thing;
All hope is in you, Lord,
Please help events that are to come
To be in your accord;
And Lord if yours is not my way,
Help me to understand
That whatever may befall me here,
My soul is in your hands.
