Maybe I Love You

Am I in love?

Maybe I Love You
You tell me that you love me
And you cannot set me free;

And you’re sure that I love you
And will know someday it’s true.

Faced with your determination,
I have felt some consternation–

When I’m face to face with your insistence,
I simply cannot make resistance;

So maybe what you say is true—
It looks like I might love you too!

Let’s Fall in Love

Love seeks to be returned…

 Let’s Fall in Love

Let’s fall in love today;
It should be easily done;
Actually I’m half way there,
So gracious, please don’t run.

Just sit and get to know me—
I think I am your type—
And as for me, where love’s concerned
I am entirely ripe.

So why don’t you just learn to love me;
That’s the point of this whole rhyme—
We need to fall in love today;
There is no better time.

A Clean, Fresh Love

Love has beginnings…

A Clean, Fresh Love

My love’s as clean and fresh
As the early morning dew;
I became a whole new person
The moment I met you.

All the long years of my lifetime
That I had known before
Seemed to vanish like a vapor
And go wafting out the door.

I forgot the life I knew—
Forgot everything I’d done—
As I focused on the joy
That at last I’d found THE ONE!
